Itinerary

Bai Dinh – Trang An – Mua Cave 1 Day Tour

This incredible day trip takes you through the ancient land, enriched with cultural and geographic wonders that have recently been designated as a World Heritage Site.

Detailed Itinerary:

07.00-08.00: Our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in the Old Quarter. If your hotel is outside the Old Quarter area, the meet-up point is at the Hanoi Opera House. Depart for Bai Dinh – Trang An – Mua Cave, enjoying the beautiful scenery of the rural areas on the way.

09.40-10.00: Have a short 20-minute break.

10.30: Arrive at the glimmering Bai Dinh Pagoda complexes, one of the largest pagodas not only in Vietnam but also in Southeast Asia. Scenically set at the foot of Dinh Mountain, surrounded by amazing views of the exquisite river valley below and the limestone karsts dotted around, which will take your breath away.

This pagoda complex boasts a stunning array of the most massive and magnificent Vietnamese traditional architecture ever built, and it would take a full day to explore all of it. You will visit some of the highlights that are nationally recognized:

500 stone statues of "La Han" (Arhats)
2 huge bronze bells, one weighing 27 tons and the other 36 tons
Visit the Quan Yin statue with thousands of arms and eyes
Visit the Gautama Buddha statue
With sacred atmospheres and intriguing Buddhist stories presented by our insider guide, you cannot fail to be enchanted.

12.00: Enjoy lunch at our restaurant with great local cuisines.

13.00: Leave for the Trang An Grottoes, an outstanding natural beauty of majestic limestone massif spanning 20 square kilometers, rising dramatically out from the rice paddy fields. Deep into the linked chains of towering mountains are pristine places of mystical valleys, numerous freshwater ponds, and jungle.

Embark on a traditional sampan, gently rowed down the exquisite river through numerous caves: Toi (Dark) Cave (320 meters long), Sang (Light) Cave (90 meters long), and Nau Ruou (Cooking Wine) Cave (250 meters long). Every passage brings a new surprise of mystery hidden inside the isolated valleys of tranquility, which likely transforms you to another world and time. The fauna and flora are rich, and a scene of a goat jumping from one cliff to another is a common sight.

15.30: Arrive at Mua Cave and start an amazing trek up to the top of Ngoa Long Mountain for a spectacular view of the rice valley.

17.00: Return to our bus and then come back to Hanoi.

19.30: Drop you off at your hotel/stay. Trip ends.

Meet our tour guide at the designed meeting point.
